Sunday 24th May seen the town travel to Dungiven for a 12 noon start. An Oran Kearney goal within the first 30 seconds opened the scoring in this match but Dungiven replied with two points however Conor Boyd registered his first point of the day straight after keeping the lead to two points. As the first half progressed Dungiven managed to register 5 more points however a further two goals from Kearney keep Ballycastle in it. In the last ten minutes of the first half MacUilin started to open up a gap with 5 more points for Boyd, and one for Ben McQuillan and Oran Kearney. Halftime the town lead 3-8 to 0-7.
At halftime you would have read the scoreline and said the match was over but the second half seen Dungiven open the scoring with two points before Ballycastle replied with a Conor Boyd point. As the second half progressed it was pretty much point for point however Dungiven putting an impressive 11 points up to Ballycastles 7. After a good hard fought battle MacUilin came out on top 3-14 to 1-17.
