U13 Hurling began with wins against Portaferry and St Galls – Saturday 19 September 2015
The U13 league started on Saturday with us having two games against Portaferry and St Galls at St Galls pitch.
First up was Portaferry who took an early lead but we came back strongly to go in ahead by 3-04 to 1-03 at half time. Despite playing the second half a man down we still were the stronger team and ran out 4-07 to 2-03 winners.
Next up were St Galls who were never allowed to get into the game. We were up by 1-05 to 0-00 at halftime. The second half saw us make quite a few positional switches with our keeper (Smithy) moving to midfield and our full back (Liam McCollum) moving to full forward, both scoring. Final score was 4-09 to 0-00.
Well done boys.
