Having defeated Glenariffe by 24 points in the preliminary round and beaten Cushendall by 15 points in the league fixture Paddy Power would have stacked the odds in Ballycastles favour. On a beautiful Monday evening battle commenced and at the break Cushendall ended the better leading by 2 points 1-05 to 0-06. Conor Boyd 0-4, Ryan Hill 0-1 and Conaire Butler 0-1.
As the second half got underway Cushendall managed to slot in their second goal and a further two points. The MacUilins men battled to end with a chance at the end for a goal to win but was not to be. Cushendall worthy winners maintaining the two point gap with final score 2-07 to 0-11.
